Rare 1914 Minstrel and Dance Poster from New York's Palm Garden
Palm Garden, 1914. A. Weindorf. Ephemera. A weathered but still very presentable example of this scarce minstrel poster from a minstrel and dance show held at New York's Palm Garden (at 58th St. and Lexington Ave.) on Feb. 6th, 1914. The poster (which measures 16 1/2" tall x 10 1/4" wide) shows light creasing and several very small chips and closed tears. The buffoonish, racially-insenstive image (as per its time) was illustrated by A. Weindorf, who signed his name in the print. Very Good. Item #26078
