New York: Jonathan Cape and Harrison Smith, 1929. Decorative Boards. A tight, presentable copy of the elusive 1929 1st edition of arguably Faulkner's greatest achievement. Solid and VG- to VG in its wonderful Art Deco boards (and matching pastedowns and endsheets), with very mild staining at the spine and light chipping (with 1/8" of loss) at its crown. Mild creasing as well to the panels and along the top-edges of the pages. 12mo, one of the undisputed highspots in modernist literature. Very Good. Item #26025
