A handmade Tamtam treatise on philosophy (circa early to mid 19th century), with hand-colored illustrations throughout of magical human and animal figures and extraordinary mythical creatures. Clean and VG in its period dark-calf, with just a bit of light scuffing to the panels and the 2 blank endsheets (both front and rear) somewhat roughly removed. Quarto, 92 pgs. of handwritten text and illustrations. A one-of-a-kind Hindu "Risala" (or "treatise"). Very Good. Item #25927
