Item #25919 Science Fiction Review (12 Issues). Ed Richard E. Geis.

Science Fiction Review (12 Issues)

Portland, OR: Richard E. Geis, 1975-1979. Magazines. 12 separate, early issues (spanning 1975-1979) of "Science Fiction Review", an important science fiction quarterly both edited and published by Richard E. Geis. We have here issues #12, #14, #15, #22, #23, #24, #25, #26, #30, #31, #32 and #33, all offered as one collection. Uniform quartos, magazine-formatted, in their stapled, pictorial wrappers. Each volume clean, crisp and VG+ or better, with a bit of light chipping --and several very small closed tears-- along the lower fore-edge of the first few pages of only issue #24. (Happily, none of the text is affected). Profiling some of the giants in the industry (such as Philip Jose Farmer, L. Sprague De Camp, Jack Vance, Ursual Le Guin, Poul Anderson and Orson Scott Card) and featuring the writings of Larry Niven, Robert Block, Harlan Ellsion, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Philip Jose Farmer, Philip K. Dick and Ursula Le Guin, it was clear this was one of the most prophetic and influential science fiction magazines of its era. Very Good +. Item #25919
