Beatrice the Ballerina SIGNED
New York: E.P. Dutton and Co., 1942. John Vassos. Pictorial boards. WONDERFULLY INSCRIBED BY JOHN VASSOS (HERE PSEUDONYMOUSLY AS "IVAN VASSILOVITCH") AND WITH AN ELABORATE 2 PG DRAWING (ALSO BY JOHN VASSOS) OF HUNTING DOGS AND THEIR HUNTER along the entire front pastedown and front free endpaper. A solid copy to boot of the 1942 stated 1st edition of this dog-starring tale of the world of ballet and, ultimately, triumphant love. Clean and VG+ in its light-brown pictorial boards, with a touch of light wear along the spine ends and very mild abrading at the panel edges. Oblong octavo, nicely illustrated throughout by the formidable artist and industrial designer John Vassos (1898-1985). Very Good +. Item #25476
Price: $500.00
