Rare 1925 Photograph of a Philippine Baseball Team (The East Visayan Team of Manila)
1925. Photograph. Unusual photograph of the East Vasayan baseball team of Manila, taken as "the runner-ups of the Philippine Inter-Scholastic Championship of 1925". At the rear is a torn --but still preserved-- piece of aged brown paper, with the typewritten roster of the team, mentioning by name all 12 players in the photograph and their positions (and the Anglo coach W.L.T.). The photo is clear and brigjht, with just a touch of light soiling along the top-edge, and measures 15" wide x 11 3/4" tall in its newer dark-wood frame. To be sure, an uncommon piece of early 20th century history of baseball in Asia. Item #25092
