Item #25090 An Historic Collage of 10 Original Prints of Elvis Presley's 1977 Final Florida Concert

An Historic Collage of 10 Original Prints of Elvis Presley's 1977 Final Florida Concert

1977. Photograph. Roughly 2 1/2 months before his death at age 42 (on August 16th, 1977), Elvis Presley played his final Florida concert on May 30th, 1977, at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Coliseum, in front of 10,000 people. We have here a very uncommon, framed collage of 10 original prints capturing that evening's performance. In the photos Elvis alternates between seeming fully engaged to looking somewhat bloated and worn out. He's wearing his customary white jump suit, with over-the-top gilt-spackling and design, and in a number of the photos the band, in sympatico, has donned their own orange jump suits. The 10 original photos, each measuring 5" wide x 3 1/2" tall, are carefully mounted to form 3 vertical rows. Thereby creating, whether joyous or poignant, its own Elvis experience. In the frame the piece measures 14 3/4" wide x 18" tall and shows just a bit of mild soiling at the margins of the matting. Bright and crisp though, presenting very nicely. Near Fine. Item #25090
