Beautifully-bound in a contemporary-to-the-period full light-brown calf. Gilt double-ruled panels, lavishly gilt-decorated compartments, raised bands. Both volumes bright and clean and VG+. Minor offsetting to the top of the back panel of Vol. 1, otherwise very well-preserved. Both Vols. solid and tightly-bound and, internally, very clean, with no foxing to speak of. Thick quartos, 949 pgs. all told, all edges bright gilt. Small, neat former owner signature to front pastedown of Vol. 1. 51 handsome, full-page engravings thruout. Collectible; Very Good.
