Filled with hundreds and hundreds of steel engravings (from cast iron fittings and wrought iron nipples to street washers and lawn hydrants), including detailed price lists and descriptions of items. A sharp, well-preserved copy to boot: Tight and VG+ in its wine-red cloth, with bright gilt-titling along the front panel and spine. Very light soiling along the fore-edges, just a touch of scuffing at the panels. Dense quarto, excellent look at the equipment and tools which helped to make New York function amidst its dramatic population spikes of the late 1800s. Very Good +. Item #23601
