SIGNED BY THE GREAT SPANISH POET, PUBLISHER AND EDITOR MANUEL ALTOLAGUIRRE (1905-1959) on one of the blank preliminaries. A lovely copy to boot of the limited edition, #36 of only 50 copies issued separately from the trade edition of 500 copies. This copy sumptuously bound in the publisher's full vellum and includes a gilt-lettered leather title label at the spine. Clean and very presentable, with light spotting (possibly part of the vellum?) along the panels. Internally immaculate, with no writing or markings of any kind (apart from Manuel Altolaguirre's signature). Folio, marbled endpapers and pastedowns. Also includes a sturdy, sharp example of the publisher's slipcase, in its decorative paper over vellum. A bit of light abrading along the edges but very solid.
