A Handmade Replica of Princeton's Graduate College

2000. A wonderful piece of Princeton University history. A “unique replica” of the Graduate College, commissioned in 2000 by the Princeton Graduate Alumni to mark the Centennial of the Graduate School. Designed by French artist and sculptor Patrice J.M. Lagnier (AND SIGNED AND DATED BY HIM at the reverse), this particular model was gifted to Dean Ted Ziolkowski, the Graduate School’s Dean from 1979-1992. The piece measures 13 1/2" long x 11" wide and weighs 12 lbs. Rendered in painstaking detail, down to the windows in the gothic towers and the bushes and trees dotting the landscape. One small, inconspicuous bush missing, otherwise clean as could be, with the buildings and grounds bright and very solid. Also includes a set of printed blueprints of renovation work done to the campus in 1987. The small placard affixed to the sculpture reads: "The Association of Princeton Graduate Alumni in Honor of the Centennial of the Graduate School Princeton University, December 13, 2000" Near Fine.
