A very well-preserved copy of this 1794 accounting of the trial for sedition of William Skirving, "Containing a full and circumstantial account of all the proceedings and speeches, as taken down in short-hand, by Mr. Ramsey, short-hand writer from London" (from the title page). Clean and VG+ to Near Fine, with its original text and preliminaries perfectly intact. Professionally re-bound in a scarlet cloth (with bright gilt-titling along the spine) over light-brown cloth. New pastedowns and endsheets, otherwise nicely preserved as it originally appeared in 1794. The contemporary legal reckoning of William Skirving (1745-1796), probably best known as one of the five "Scottish Martyrs for Liberty" Very Good +. Item #18814
