A tight, crisp copy of this 1891 pocket companion --filled with impressive engarvings-- of the National Tube Works Co., whose massive plant in McKeesport, PA (with accompanying frontispiece engraving) manufactured "wrought-iron welded steam, gas and water pipe, plain, galvanized and enameled standard boiler tubes, semi-steel locomotive boiler tubes, hydraulic tubes, artisan, salt and oil wellcasing, tubing, drive and line pipe", etc. Solid and VG+ to Near Fine in its brown cloth, with bright gilt-titling along the front panel. Just a touch of light scuffing to the panels, small, neat former owner name and address at the 2nd blank flyleaf. 16mo, light, portable late 19th century "book of industry standards" Very Good +.
