The 1936 edition of this impressive, short-lived French annual issued out of Paris and lasting only 11 years all told in this original incarnation. 120 lavish full-page gravures by the likes of Andre Kertesz, George Hurrel, Bill Brandt, Ylla, George Platt Lynes, Cecil Beaton, Herbert List et al. Also includes roughly a dozen wonderful period ads at the rear. This issue has held up very well to boot: clean and VG+ to Near Fine in its spiral-bound, pictorial wrappers, with just a touch of very light creasing along the panel edges. Tall quarto, crisp and very presentable, with a number of hauntingly beautiful photos. Also includes a handsome navy-blue custom-made box (with bright gilt-titling along the spine), which houses the annual. Very Good +. Item #17503
