Historia Grafica de la Revolucion Mexico: 1900-1940 (Complete in 5 Vols.)

Mexico: Archivo Casasola. Decorative Cloth. Exhaustive history of the Mexican Revolution, published in the early 1940s in Mexico in 5 clothbound volumes and in its native Spanish. Overseen by Augustin Casasola, each of the 5 volumes consists of 5 wrappered "cuadernos" (notebooks), which, bound together, make up each volume of this set. Clearly intended for high school and college usage, this work, with its hundreds of remarkable black-and-white photographs and thousands of pgs. of text, undoubtedly remains over 70 years later one of the landmark treatments of the Revolution. The set, in uniform quartos, is solid and well-preserved. Each volume is a 1st edition and each has held up nicely, with a tight binding and bright, gilt-lettered panels. A bit of rubbing to the front panel of Vol. II and light fading at the foot of the spine of Vol. V. Still though, very presentable and rather uncommon in its complete 5 volumes. Collectible; Very Good. Item #10845
