London: Henry Frowde and Hodder & Stoughton. Decorative Cloth. The 1st edition (c. 1910 and in the less common hardback) of this charming tale of Pippin the puppy and his inevitable misadventures. Wonderfully illustrated on each recto and in rich color by the great Cecil Aldin. A solid, VG- quarto in its pictorial green cloth, with soiling to the front panel edges and light foxing at the preliminaries. Neat former owner inscription as well at the verso of the front free endpaper. Still though, a handsome, very presentable copy of a fragile title. Collectible; Very Good. Item #10539
