THE DONKEY AND DACHSUND PHOTOS BELONGED TO EMMA BROCK AND MARY GOULD DAVIS ( BASED ON THE INSCRIPTIONS ON THE BACK OF EACH PHOTO) AND WERE VERY LIKELY THE MODELS FROM WHICH THEY ILLUSTRATED AND CREATED "BALDASARRE" AND "TEDESCO".
