As to the deluxe edition, 2 tipped-in color renderings of the Woolworth Building, 7 portraits and a photogravure of the building by night. Octavo, original red cloth with gilt-titles, in the publisher's cardboard box and a laid-in bound copy of "The Seating Arrangements for the Dinner". For the other 2 copies, the one in blue boards includes a menu of the dinner, a list of the speakers and a matching blue card slipcase which contains the slim volume. And finally, another copy --an unembellished copy-- of the red cloth trade edition. All 3 editions are in lovely, easily Near Fine condition. The Woolworth Building, one of the oldest and most famous skyscrapers in New York City, was designed in Neo-Gothic style by Cass Gilbert (1859-1934), a leading American Beaux Arts architect. It was opened on the morning of April 24th, 1913 by President Wilson and cost 13.5 million --which Frank Woolworth paid in cash-- and was the tallest building in the world from its opening until the opening of the Chrysler Building in 1930.
