Towards a New Architecture (With Its Frederick Etchells Introduction)

New York: Payson & Clarke Ltd., 1927. Cloth. The presumed 1927 true 1st American edition, borrowing its sheets directly from the 1927 1st British edition ("translated from the thirtenth French edition and with an introduction by Frederick Etchells"). (Also, using "Printed in Great Britain by Richard Clay & Sons, Limited, Bungay, Suffolk" alone on the copyright page). A solid, presentable copy to boot: tight and VG to VG+ in its tan cloth, with publisher's clean blue stripe running vertically down the front panel. Fascinating, unidentified, very Decoish bookplate to the front pastedown, otherwise very clean internally. Quarto, dozens and dozens of black-and-white plates and line-drawings throughout. Very Good +. Item #21409

Price: $500.00
