A wonderful Presentation copy: WARMLY INSCRIBED BY NORMAN BEL GEDDES TO HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION (1926-1928) GENE TUNNEY ("To Gene Tunney who has proven himself to be a world champion designer -- best wishes of Norman Bel Geddes 7 August 1933") on the front pastedown. A solid copy to boot of the November 1932 1st edition. Tight and VG+ (a touch of light soiling to the rear panel) in a crisp, price-intact, VG- dustjacket, with mild soiling and offsetting along the panels, and a bit of very light chipping at the spine ends. From the dustjacket front cover: "A GLIMPSE into the NOT FAR-DISTANT FUTURE, a future that will see many if not all of our present notions of form cast into the discard -- when, through the influence of new design, most of the features of our everyday life will take on new aspects for the greater economy, efficiency, comfort and happiness of our lives."
