Item #20871 Isaac Newton's Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica (Vols. I and II). Isaac Newtown.

Isaac Newton's Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica (Vols. I and II)

Harvard University Press, 1972. Cloth. Handsome examples in 2 volumes of the facsimile of the 3rd edition (1726), with variant readings. "Assembled and edited by Alexandre Koyre and I. Bernard Cohen, with the Assistance of Anne Whitman". Both volumes solid and VG+ (small stamped name at the front free endpapers) in crisp, VG dustjackets, with light abrading and staining along the lower-edges of Vol. II's rear panel and very mild overall soiling at the panels. Light chipping as well along the spine ends but, still, impressive and presentable. Quartos, hundreds of clearly-reproduced plates and diagrams throughout complementing Newton's timeless, original text (in Latin). Very Good + / Very Good. Item #20871
