Poetry -- Charles Bukowski/Steven Richmond (LP Record)

Ascot, 1968. Record. Charles Bukowski's scarcest record, the April 1968 1st --and almost certainly only-- pressing of this reading by Bukowski (side A) and his friend the LA poet Steve Richmond (side B). Issued by Ascot Records, a subsidiary of United Artists Records, in a 33 1/3 LP, with its bizarre pictorial sleeve of a half bat/half man figure. The vinyl itself shows light scratching and a degree of surface staining on both sides. (We have not played the record ourselves but were assured by its former owner that it plays cleanly and is entirely audible). The sleeve shows light creasing and wear as well, and a bit of very mild soiling along the edges. Still though, it presents well and is entirely eye-catching. An uncommon Bukowski (and Spoken Word) item, even as such, in its somewhat worn condition. Very Good. Item #20842
