Item #19106 Fifty Years in Wall Street (With January 1929 Full-Page Letter from Barron's Book Department). Henry Clews.

Fifty Years in Wall Street (With January 1929 Full-Page Letter from Barron's Book Department)

New York: Irving Publishing Company, 1908. Decorative Cloth. A crisp, very well-preserved copy of the 1908 1st edition. Tight and VG+ to Near Fine in its dark-green cloth, with bright gilt-insignia and titling along the front panel and spine. Light bumping to the lower tips, otherwise very clean externally. And internally very impressive as well,, with strong hinges and no writing whatsoever. Light offsetting along the front inner hinge, offsetting at 2 pgs. within the text (pgs. 836-837), where several old newspaper clippings had been laid-in. Very thick octavo, also includes a wonderful January 1929 full-page letter from Barron's Book Department in Boston ("Specialized Financial Reading"), discussing some of their current titles and some of the books unavailable at the moment (such as Edwin Lefevre's "Reminiscences of a Stock Operator" and "Making of a Stock Broker", and Professor Dewing's "Corporate Promotion and Reorganization"). The letter is clear and bright and in very nice condition, with 2 even folds across. Very Good +. Item #19106
