Item #18849 The House That Jack Built

The House That Jack Built

London: Anthony Treherne & Co., 1905. "The Pilgrims" Pictorial boards. #7 in the wonderful (and uncommon) "Stump Books for Children" series, issued in the very early 20th century (this title in 1905) and shaped exactly like a harmonica. Brilliant color illustrations by "The Pilgrims", printed by Chorley & Pickersgill, Ltd., and the Electric Press of both Leeds and London. Solid and VG in its pictorial cloth, with its original ivory clasp still firmly in place. Just a touch of staining (the size of a pea) to the front panel. othrwise very clean. Several of the signatures are loose (which is common to the "Stump Books") but with the clasp everything holds together nicely. Very Good. Item #18849
