Weekly, featuring a (now famous) cover photo of a defiant Charles Bukowski clutching his portable Underwood typewriter. Inside is an interesting, Hunter Thompson-esque profile of Bukowski ("Sing a Song of Charles Bukowski: Reflections on a Dirty Old Man Who Happens to Be a Splendid Poet") by Linda Rudolph. The newspaper is unfolded and crisp and VG+, with light creasing along the rear panel's lower-edge. An early, impassioned defense of LA as a viable literary scene (in spite of its constant snubbing from academia) and as Charles Bukowski as its champion. Very Good +. Item #18483
