Early American Trade Cards from the Collection of Bella C. Landauer

New York: William Edwin Rudge, 1927. St. Cloth. The 1927 1st edition, with its lovely fold-out frontispiece (a large chromolithographed ad for Mitchell & Croasdale of Philadelphia, purveyors of "sperm, whale, lard & tanners oil, candles, rice &"). Solid and VG in its light-brown cloth, with just a touch of scuffing --and light soiling-- along the front panel, small stamped name at the front pastedown and light offsetting to the title page and the verso of the half-title. Otherwise, very clean internally and all plates in pristine condition. Quarto, preliminary text by Adele Jenny, a "descriptive catalogue of the plates" follows and then the plates themselves. Very Good. Item #15396

Price: $200.00
