Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Phil Nowlan, Dick Calkins.

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century

Battle Creek, Michigan: The Kellogg Company, 1933. Dick Calkins. Original wraps. A sharp, very clean copy of the 1933 prototype of this title, which went on to spawn many sequels and reprints over the years. This, in its original incarnation, was published in its stapled pictorial wrappers by Kellogg's of Battle Creek, Michigan and was an important past of their early ad campaign appealing to children. Solid and well-preserved, with no writing or markings of any kind internally and with the wonderful accompanying illustrations by Dick Calkins in vivid color. A bit of very light wear along the spine and just a touch of light creasing to the rear panel's lower-edge. Still though, this copy firmly merits a VG+ to Near Fine. Octavo, a charming tale of Buck Rogers, "the only man alive whose normal spine of life has been spread over a period of five centuries!" Very Good +. Item #14734
