A very sharp copy of this early profile of one of the legendary Texas Ranger Captains, c. 1930. Clean and VG+ in its pale-green wrappers, witrh light wear along the spine and a lightly-browned and aged text. Quarto, 63 pgs. From the editor: "The exploits of Jack Hays in Texas and California, if told in detail, would fill several volumes, but at this late date it is impossible to secure a complete record of his adventures and his daring deeds in Texas, Mexico and California". Also includes a very handsome custom-made box which has protected the fragile book very well. Half dark-green leather over marbled boards, bright gilt-lettering and raised bands along the spine.
